Between Places is a 140-page collection of photographs taken on the journey--between places. From road trips and cruise ships to hill tops and rest stops, Between Places documents some of my favorite scenes from the last few years as seen through car windows and camera lenses.
Equally attentive to the seemingly mundane and common as it is to the spectacular sights of coastal vistas and national park grandeur, the 130 photographs included in Between Places are an eclectic collection of pictures that make me feel something like wanderlust. The photos were largely taken in the American West--Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, California--with some exceptions in Tennessee and Mazatlan, Mexico.
The heart of the vision and aesthetic of Between Places is the idea of finding joy in the journey. Enjoying the road trip as much as you enjoy the destination. And what are destinations, anyway, if not just another stop on the journey of life?
