Let's get straight to it, shall we?
How this works:
My current plan is to have all the people involved in phase two collaboratively editing and commenting in a single Google Document.
I have shared this document with the email you provided on the application. If you'd prefer it be shared with a different email, just get in touch and I'll add you ASAP!
This is unlike anything else that I've done before, but I'd like to think that when somebody points out an issue, others can help offer suggestions as to how to fix or improve the issue! In addition, by making this a collaborative process, mistakes will be pointed out and corrected once, rather than having several different versions of the edited text from everyone individually.
I really don't want to put any of you on any kind of deadline, because you're so generously offering your time to this project. That said... the sooner the better! If the majority of suggestions and comments could be in by March 20, that would be lovely! The book is just under 50,000 words / 200 pages, so it's really a fairly quick read. If you don't get around to it before then, I'd still appreciate your added thoughts, but again... the sooner the better.
Things to look for:
Phase 1 is all about copy editing. While I would claim to have something of an "English" brain, there's something about reading your own work that makes it so much harder to recognize the errors that you're better at recognizing in others' work haha.
